We had a fire alarm that continued to go off in our room all night that the desk forgot to take care of. They felt bad and credited us back the cost of our room.

When we arrived at our hotel the Lsdy at the front desk was friendly and polite. When we got to our room we didn’t realize we had booked that type of room. My husband and I work different schedules and having the second helped good with our sleep. The breakfast was average and I would have liked more choices. We did have breakfast there. The only sour spot was the parking in the lot. The hotel and restaurant share the same lot. If they are having to share maybe offer something from the restaurant to the hotel or vise versa.

We got to red wing which is an absolute beautiful town on a sold out weekend for the Weird Al Yankovic Concert at Treasure Island. The amazing young girl at the front desk said she didn’t have a room she could check us into then and we said that was perfectly ok. Was there just somewhere we could use the bathroom before we headed back out. She directed us confidently towards the public bathrooms. We used those and headed back out. We did some sightseeing and had an amazing lunch and smoking oak. Then came back and she popped right up with huge smile on her face and says I can check you in now welcome back! Another girl was at the desk and asked if we or the other girl minded if she watched so that she could learn incase she needed to check people in. She seemed to be the maintenance/fixit girl lol. We all said no go right ahead and soon we were off to our room. The Room: The room is where things kinda went sideways. When we got up there we realized that we had no linens for the fold out bed, which isn’t a huge deal because we could just call down and ask but then we tried to go to the bathroom and the door wouldn’t latch shut so we couldn’t close the bathroom door. Right after that we tried turning on the tv in the living room and it wouldn’t turn on. The tv in the bed room said it was loading which it eventually did. We called down to the front desk and the maintenance girl came up. She looked at the bathroom door and concluded it was due to the heat and there was nothing that could be done. She apologized. Then she looked at the living room tv and tried getting a new remote it still wouldn’t work. She then thought of trying the bedroom remote lo and behold that worked lol. So we got the living room tv fixed but then we did t have a tv remote. She tried his on our tv nope. She tried the brand new remote on our tv and that worked or so we thought. After she left we tried the volume and it wouldn’t work. So we called her back. She tried everything. So we ended up sharing the living room remote between both rooms to be able to change volume on the TVs. Well after the concert when we came back I put my card to the door the light turns green but the door wouldn’t open. So my brother tries, it won’t open for him either it’s literally stuck. He had to body check the door as quietly as possible and then it finally let us in. Well when we finally got in and went to use the bedroom remote to turn the tv on and look for a show before getting the other remote to change the volume the bedroom remote no longer worked. So we had one remote for two TVs. Staff: The staff I would seriously give 10/5 stars. They were all amazing. Nice, caring, laughing with us, asking us questions, forming connections, they truly cared. Resolution: The hotel did talk to us about all the problems and make it right. Which they didn’t even need to do. They tried to fix everything and that was enough for us.

I called less than a week before my child's birthday party since rain was in the forecast and our original location was outdoors. They were able to accommodate us at the pool and party room and answered all my questions so kindly over a few calls as I remembered different things I forgot to ask about. The kids had a blast and loved every minute of it! From a parent perspective it was very convenient and staff were awesome!! Overall I would definitely recommend this location!

Very clean, large rooms, great location and helpful staff. Easy drive to downtown Red Wing. The restaurant across the parking lot Smokin Oak was a great place to eat. Next time we are in Red Wing we will stay here.
